What do you MEAN,
you haven't spayed
or neutered your pet???
|
Spay/Neuter
Vouchers
Available to Riverside County Residents
If
you still haven't had your pet spayed or neutered, now is the
time. Riverside County residents are eligible for vouchers to
help pay for the cost of spay/neuter surgeries ($50 per dog,
$25 per cat, three at a time for as long as funds remain available.)
AFV and shelters everywhere are being inundated with puppies
and kittens, the result of unaltered pets being allowed to breed.
It is so much simpler to spay/neuter than to care for litters
of puppies and kittens, most of whom will never find homes.
Please
call toll free at 1-888-664-5166 to receive your voucher.
LET'S
STOP PET OVERPOPULATION
ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Thanks
to Temecula Paint Company
If
you've been to the shelter recently, you've probably noticed some
major changes. One is that the puppies and small dogs no longer
have to be kept outside in the summer heat. They are living in air
conditioned comfort inside their roomy new modular (the replacement
for the modular destroyed in the February fire).
The
other big change is that all the modulars have been painted, and
they look GREAT! All the work was donated by Temecula
Paint Company!!! Wow, what great friends!
Next
time you need some paint work done, be sure to look these animal
lovers up. They come with plenty of kudos from the shelter animals!

A huge thanks to the Temecula Paint Company
for donating the new paint job for the shelter modulars!

Thanks,
Von's!

Richard Sandoval, manager of the Von's at 31564
Grape St. in Lake Elsinore, presented AFV with a check for $1000
for deposit in our fire fund. It will be put to good use as we
continue to recover and make repairs after the tragic February
fire.
Thanks, Von's!

times as you like. A judging panel will choose twelve pets of the

4 p.m.
Read
the contest rules and submit your photos by printing out the entry
form.
Will You Be "Pet" Prepared in Case of a Disaster?
Living
in California, we know it's only a matter of time until we are faced
with a natural disaster. Earthquakes, fires, floods, mudslides --
all come when we least expect them. After last year's firestorms,
many Californians realize how important it is to be prepared to
leave home fast. We all should have emergency kits and supplies
ready at all times. But don't forget to prepare
your pets, too!

Now is the Time to Buy A Brick!
Groundbreaking
for the new shelter is coming up soon, so now is the time to make your
brick purchase if you still haven't done so. Bricks make great gifts,
too!
Your
brick will be engraved with three lines of your choosing and will be incorporated
into the new shelter building, so don't miss your chance to become part
of shelter history! Bricks are $50 each. More information can be found
on our donation page.
There
also are opportunities for donors who wish to dedicate a kennel, adoption
room, spay/neuter clinic, classroom, etc. If you are interested in seeing
your name as a donor on one of these spaces, please call executive director
Willa Bagwell at 951-674-0618.
