WE DESPERATELY NEED:

Kitty Litter
Dog & Cat Food
Kong Chew Toys for Dogs
Carpet for the Dogs

The economy is severely affecting donations of basic items for the animals. We had been relying heavily on corporate donations of food and litter, but they are fast drying up.

If you can help, please bring donations to the shelter or call us at 951-674-0618 to arrange for pick up.

All the animals thank you!

Attention Volunteers!

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Volunteer orientations are held the third Thursday of each month from 5-6 p.m.

For more information, please check our volunteer page.

If you've been considering adopting a cat, now is the time! We are observing Adopt A Shelter Cat Month by offering 50 percent off all cat adoptions. This is the time of year that shelters are inundated with cats and kittens and we want to help them find homes by offering a special adoption discount.

We have lots of kittens and older cats to choose from, so watch our Cat Adoption Page or come out to the shelter to find your special feline friend (or friends)!

Can you help Jack?

We need your help. This sweet cat was brought into AFV by his owner. She was less than honest with us about his health. Suzette (one of AFV's great foster moms) took Jack, a beautiful male Bengal cat, home to foster until he found his forever home. Within a day, she realized he had a medical problem as he was not eliminating and was vomiting.

Suzette took Jack to Sunnymead Animal Hospital in Moreno Valley. It was urgent that Jack receive immediate surgery as he had a mass in his upper intestines. That was Tuesday. Jack survived the surgery and is still hospitalized. His medical bills are now $908.

We are asking for your help with Jack's medical costs. If you can help with the "Jack Fund" please call the shelter at (951) 674-0618. We can accept credit cards over the phone. You also can donate via PayPal by clicking on the above link.

Thank you for helping us help the animals!
