must visit the
shelter IN PERSON
to make sure we
do not have your
animal.

not claimed by
owners, many of
these animals
will be put up
for adoption.
Please make a
note of the intake
number(s) of the
animals you are
interested in.
You can put a
"hold"
on them at the
shelter and you
will be notified
when or if they
become available.

sure to include
the type of animal,
location and date
lost or found,
breed, color,
and a brief description.
Please include
your name, address,
and phone number(s).
1. Come in person to the shelter every two to three days. You must check the shelter in person!
2. Fill out a Lost Report if you do not find your pet at the shelter. We will post it on our Lost/Found Reports Page. Visit in person other animal shelters in your area (see below).
3. Make up fliers with your pet's description, your name, and phone numbers where you can be reached.
4. If you have moved recently, leave notices with neighbors in your old neighborhood and check with animal agencies in that area.
5. Check FOUND pet ads in newspapers, and place LOST ads.
6. Make sure all current information is on file for license tags, rabies, microchip, & and other traceable I.D.
IF YOU FIND A PET
1. Contact local agencies and notify them that you have found a pet. Have them fill out a "Found Report". You can fill out a Found Report on this website and it will be posted on our Lost/Found Reports page.
2. Turn the animal over to his local shelter. His guardians would look locally for their animal.
3. Place flyers around the area where you found the animal.
